Our CPC50220 Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is designed to teach you the ins and outs of project management, as well as the skills to plan, coordinate, execute and finalise the construction of medium rise buildings.

This course will teach you building and construction theory and practices related to low and medium-rise buildings. You will broaden your knowledge to include building surveying, on-site supervision and safety management. Our highly skilled trainers will support you to develop project management skills in contract administration, project planning and costing, and resource and financial management.

Successful completion of this qualification will equip you with the skills you need to successfully manage a construction business for residential, commercial or industrial buildings.

Graduates of this qualification may work as a Builder, General Foreperson or Building Inspector.  Please note that builder licensing varies across States and Territories, therefore additional requirements may apply.

Building Inspector

Building Inspectors carry out inspections of commercial and residential buildings to ensure structures comply with laws and regulations. Inspections may be carried out prior, during or after building work has been completed, and help ensure that buildings are safe, structurally sound and accessible. Building Inspectors have a working knowledge of the construction industry and trades and are able to verify the quality of work of building tradespersons. The also identify any defects or issues impacting building such as structural weakness, poor electrical wiring, asbestos, mould or other safety hazards.
